You probably saw a couple of emails come through in the last few days about a new AOBO owner portal, and you may be wondering what it’s all about.
In this article we’ll explain a little more about what it is and how it may help you now and in the future.
Why do we have a new AOBO portal?
The first thing to know is that this new portal will eventually replace the old AOBO website we’ve used for years. That one is found at: www.my-condo-info.com
Every AOBO member has access to this site and it holds all the information the Board releases to owners as well as various agreements and other operating documents. But it’s hard to use and is based on older technology. In fact, you probably haven’t accessed this site often, if at all.
The new portal is much more intuitive to use and offers new capabilities and easy ways to stay connected. This upgraded portal did not require purchasing anything new since it’s offered by the same company the AOBO has used in the past.
How do I get to it?
Marianne Thesken sent an email out through the portal on Monday, February 1st inviting each owner to join (make an account on the portal). When you click on the “join” button, the portal will already have key information about you already entered.
You’ll set up your account name email, a password, and your mobile phone number. Once you are set up, use this link to access the portal: https://kiahunaaobo.frontsteps.com
How is it useful to me right now?
Since the portal has yet to be populated with data, you won’t find too much there just now. However, the most important NEW feature is that you can pay your AOBO dues and fees from this portal if you choose.
The Association prefers that you set up an automatic payment from your bank account to ensure your dues are paid on-time and many of us use this method of payment. But you now have an additional option: using a credit or debit card to make this payment. This feature is available NOW.
What should I look for in the future?
In addition to being able to pay dues via a credit or debit card, soon you’ll be able to see a calendar of events, so you won’t miss any meetings.
And of course, this will be the place to find everything relating to AOBO activities: meeting minutes, operating and reserve budgets, social events, work on the property and anything happening on island that could impact the property.
Who is your contact for the new portal?
Marianne Thesken at Marianne.thesken@outrigger.com is your contact for help setting up your account. And Marianne and Chris Gampon deserve a big MAHALO for putting this together for our owner community.
