Upcoming meeting and retirement of Tim Blum

I hope to see many of you at the upcoming meetings in San Francisco next Saturday, August 11th at the Doubletree Hotel.  If you need reservations, please contact Marianne Thesken for details.  Lunch is FREE at 11:30 with the meeting to begin after.

Castle has its meeting at 9:00 that morning so it's a twofer!!  I'm sure Outrigger is also having its owners meeting simultaneously.

On another note, Outrigger and Kiahuna owners were sad to see Tim Blum retire after providing such valuable services to Kiahuna for decades!  To be exact, Tim has been a part of the Kiahuna Ohana for 35 years.  A parade at Kiahuna was held in his honor.

Were you aware that the AOBO has donated money to the Koloa Flood Relief fund?  We donated $1,000!  The victims of the Koloa Flood are still rebuilding.  The check was presented to Teddy Blake, who is representing the Koloa Foundation.  Now you will know what Teddy Blake looks like!

Aloha Kiahuna Homeowners!

It is that time again! Time for the Annual Kauai Charity Walk this May!

Our goal this year is to raise over $5000. We have surpassed that in other years, so let’s try hard to meet our goal!

Several homeowners are donating items to the silent auction. Judy Stupfel is donating one of her beautiful Hawaiian handmade quilts; Randy Nordstrom is donating a gorgeous Hawaiian quilted bag. Roger Mullenhour and Alan Hart are donating some fine photography pieces.

Let’s not forget the Charity Walk Chili Cook-Off fundraiser. The Chili Cook-Off is a great way to donate money to a good cause and get some great food. J

You have many choices of ways to donate to this wonderful fundraiser! You can bid on the auction items and bid high or you can just donate right to the fundraiser.

Also, the Kauai Charity Walk has made it easy to donate online at: http://igfn.us/vf/KauaiCW/team/1_Outrigger%20Kiahuna%20Plant

Of course, some of you would prefer to just donate by using a check or cash. If you wish to write a check please make it out to: Kauai Charity Walk. You mail it directly to Marianne Thesken or drop it off at her office at the Kiahuna Plantation.

All monies raised will stay on the island to help the local people out! It is sharing our Kiahuna Homeowners’ Aloha to our Island Ohana!

The Board would like all interested homeowners to apply.  A Board with diverse backgrounds and expertise is crucial for the AOBO to make good decisions for all of Kiahuna.  If you have questions please contact Bill Flohrs  at bflohrs@gmail.com or me.
To be included with the proxy mailing, nominee statements must be received no later than April 4, 2018 by mail, e-mail or fax.  Statements must be in black text on white paper and not to exceed one single-sided eight and one-half by eleven (8 ½ x 11) inch page.  Please include name, contact information, and Beachhouse number(s) owned.
