You may have heard that Tropical Storm Ana is heading toward the State of Hawaii. The storm is expected to pass the island of Hawaii (as a tropical storm) by late Friday (10/17/2014). The forecast for Kauai has improved. That said, we still expect adverse conditions and will remain cautious.

Friday: Scattered showers. The rain could be heavy at times. Partly sunny. Northeast wind around 14 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph
Friday Night: Frequent showers, mainly after 7pm. The rain could be heavy at times. Breezy, with a northeast wind 14 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph.
Saturday: Frequent showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 7am. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Breezy, with a northeast wind 16 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph.
Saturday Night: Frequent showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Windy, with a northeast wind 15 to 24 mph, with gusts as high as 36 mph.
Sunday: Tropical storm conditions possible. Frequent showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall.
Sunday Night: Tropical storm conditions possible. Frequent showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall.
Monday: Frequent showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Very windy, with a southeast wind 34 to 39 mph decreasing to 26 to 31 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 60 mph.
