Pool voting results

Aloha Kiahuna Plantation Homeowner,

The Association of Beachhouse Owners of Kiahuna Plantation (AOBOKP) Board is very pleased to announce that we have received the necessary homeowner consent to proceed with the Pool/Fitness Center/Base Yard Project.
Thank you all for your participation in this important process and for helping us reach this historic milestone.

The ballot results are as follows:

1.      To modify the common elements of AOBOKP to permit the construction of and to incur the costs involved in the construction and operation of a swimming pool, new maintenance yard buildings and fitness center (the “New Improvements” in the existing Base Yard area.)
(67% required for approval)

2. To permit the AOBOKP to obtain a loan to fund the construction of the New Improvements of approximately $3.7 million.
(50% required for approval)

Next steps:

While reaching this milestone is a huge step and perhaps the most difficult toward completing this project, there is still much hard work to be done.  The Pool Committee and Board have meetings next week, August 8 & 9 in San Francisco to officially accept the ballots, approve a letter for fee owners’ consent and further the development process.  After these meetings, an updated schedule for completion of the development process, and construction benchmarks will be produced with the anticipated goal of having the pool and base yard open by Fall 2016.

Mahalo Nui Loa,
AOBOKP Board
